Fully integrated Map Systems

Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) from OYSTAR North America is the process ofchanging the environment surrounding sensitive products to promote extended shelflife, enhance quality retention, expand distribution capabilities and minimize damageof perishable products.

Although MAP has been used for nearly half a century, demand increased dramatically during the1990s as consumers called for more natural, minimally processed food products. OYSTAR NorthAmerica is meeting this challenge by delivering innovative technologies that simplify the MAP process and provide exceptional output and performance.

  • Flushing modular system - dramatic increase in line speed for existing MAP applications
  • Tighter control of residual oxygen/atmosphere due to folding box gassing interface module
  • Dual laminar flow gas lance system eliminates seal contamination
  • Exciting new product capabilities
  • Potential for dramatically increased shelf life
  • Precision control of package oxygen/atmosphere levels retains product quality characteristics

The MAP Systems technology is a vacuumless system with no moving parts. This allows us to interface with a wide variety of packaging machines without impacting the intended line speed.
We have extensive experience in retrofitting and working with OEM suppliers of such packaging machines as

  • Auger fillers and scales
  • Vertical and horizontal form fill and seal
  • Flow wrappers
  • Cappers, can seamers, vial stoppers, lid sealers...

and many more.

Your product and your package, utilizing your machinery, at line speed, with atmosphere critical results guaranteed.
