Vocational Training

For us, training primarily means personal development. The trainee´s main targets during the vocational training are to become more independent, acquire specialist expertise and develop good interpersonal skills. The technical aspect in all our companies includes the rotation through the company’s different specialist departments, followed by specialization, drawing up case studies independently and in-depth theoretical training in all our companies.

Dual Studies

In addition to the vocational training programs some of our companies also offer dual degree programs in cooperation with leading universities. In general, this type of studies combines the modern Bachelor degree with valuable practical phases in the company.

In general, our students and trainees have the opportunity to complete their internship abroad.

Whether during an internship or your Bachelor thesis – in every phase of your university or technical college education the OYSTAR Group offers excellent opportunities to gather practical experience.

Internships

We would like to get in touch with dedicated students as soon as possible. Therefore we offer internships in many different parts of the OYSTAR Group. Ideally, you have completed your intermediate diploma with good grades and want to invest at least eight weeks of time as well as a lot of commitment in your internship. We, on the other hand, offer you an internship in which you – overseen by a personal mentor – can not only implement your knowledge in daily business processes, but also in project studies.

Thesis

You would like to write your thesis with a practical focus? The four business units of the OYSTAR Group offer exciting projects and topics in various areas. We are looking forward to discussing your topic with you. During the entire period of your thesis you will be closely mentored by an employee of the specialist department.

Students may apply throughout the whole year for internships and thesis.

As an internationally successful and continually expanding company, we have some pretty ambitious goals – goals that we achieve thanks to the exceptional work of our staff. Our executives and potential high performers, who in future will be entrusted with executive responsibilities, not only require outstanding expert knowledge, but also sound management competence and leadership skills.

We can help you hone these skills! The OYSTAR Junior Management Program, abbreviated to “JuMP”, prepares our qualified junior executives to actively take on international management tasks throughout the OYSTAR Group. The program comprises three training modules and runs for a period of 12 months.

Content and aims of JuMP

In the first module the participants deal with the topic “Personality and Self-Perception”. A range of analysis methods is used to examine strengths and weaknesses. The aim is to identify potential for improvement and build and reinforce strengths. Other issues that are handled in this module are “Communication and Conflict Management”.

The second module focuses on the issue of “Leadership”. One of the key topics in this module is results-driven leadership and gaining an understanding of one’s own leadership style. Also, participants are shown how to effectively conduct staff review and feedback meetings and professionally implement change management projects. 

The final module gives the junior executives insight into the topic of “Corporate Strategy”. With the help of an OYSTAR business strategy game the participants learn more about the key performance indicators of the OYSTAR Group and how OYSTAR and its processes function.

In a program that runs concurrently with the three training modules, the participants are also entrusted with specific international projects from a variety of corporate divisions. Under the supervision of a mentor, these projects are independently planned, managed and implemented. The projects always revolve around current issues which affect the entire OYSTAR Group. This gives our JuMP participants the opportunity to make an active contribution to the growth of OYSTAR as a company. 

JuMP helps junior executives to build and maintain international networks. This, in turn, allows us to intensify global collaboration and understanding within the group. The program offers talented junior executives the opportunity to prepare for their first leadership assignment in an international context. JuMP is not only an investment in individual employees, but also an investment in the long-term success of our enterprise!
