OYSTAR IWK expands its range of machines with a cartoning machine for large-size collapsible boxes: The continuous-action SC 8 and the intermittent working SI 8 process collapsible boxes with a width of up to 165 mm.

In hardly any other industry are the requirements to be met by packaging as diverse as in the pharmaceuticals and cosmetic industries. As a result of the product variety folding boxes are required in innumerable forms and sizes. In order to do justice to these requirements OYSTAR IWK, a specialist when it comes to packaging technology for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries and the technical leader on the market for cartoning machines, has expanded its range of machines. The continuous-action SC 8 and the intermittently working SI 8 now also cover the large-sized packaging range of folding boxes with up to 165 mm in width.

The machine processes folding boxes in the range from 40x20x65 mm to 165x75x230 mm. Up to 150 folding boxes can be continuously manufactured per minute, and up to 40 folding boxes when clocked. Whether large-sized sterile packaging or large batches of bandages – the machine is flexible enough for use in the most diverse product ranges. The format can be changed within just 20 minutes.

The continuous-action SC 8 has already been sold to one of the global players in the pharmaceuticals industry and will be put into service in the year 2010. In addition, the 8” cartoning machine is suitable for other industries; for example, in the case of household products. Thus the intermittent working SI 8 will be put to use in a German company for coffee filters starting from next year.

In addition to cartoning machines OYSTAR IWK also manufactures and sells tube filling and sealing machines as well as blister machines. Thus not only can the most diverse folding box sizes for final packaging be manufactured, but customers can also be offered complete packaging lines from a single source.
